I Have a Two Week Younger Cousin

I found this in Charlie's stuff that he brought home from school for the year. I love looking at their things. It is also fun to see their perspective of things and events.

6th Grade Dance

I guess there is one bad thing about teaching at your kid's school. That is, I was able to sneak a peak at the 6th grade dance. That would not be bad for me...just for your 6th grader. My first grade class had been buddies with Courtney's 6th grade class this year. They invited us to see their swing competition and invited us to dance the last dance. So not only did I get to go to her dance, Courtney's 1st grade brother was there also. Good thing she is such a good sport!!

MALTESE PUPPIES

I don't know how I ever got into this, because I never was really an animal person...but this is the second time our dog sadie has had puppies (yes on purpose). She is a maltese so we can sell them for a good amount. Puppies are so cute...they are getting bigger now and about to crawl out of their box. The kids have loved playing with them and naming them..until they go to their new homes. She had 6 puppies and 5 lived. 3 boys and 2 girls. They will grow up to be about 4 to 5 pounds. The first photo they are a few days old. The second photo they are 4 weeks old. The video was today and they will be five weeks on Sunday. The girls are sold so we have 3 boys left.

Locks of Love

Courntey was ready for a new look and shorter hair for the summer. She decided she would cut it really short and donate it to Locks of Love. She is still learning how to style it but it looks cute and is great for swimming this summer.

SCHOOL AWARDS CEREMONY

Yesterday was the last day of school!! It is always nice to finish up a year and clean up! Then it is always exciting to start a new year with new students. This year was especially fun, because John Paul was in my class. Not many kids can say their Mom was their 1st grade teacher. Chuck told me that if he didn't learn to read it was all my fault. I can proudly say, he can read and it mighty good at it.

At the school awards ceremony the kids walked away with some great earned awards.

Courney had many, but the highlight was the "Presidential Academic Award", only two 6th graders received this award.

Charlie's greatest achievement was 100% attendance in 4th grade. He also got this award last year!! CRAZY.

John Paul received the Team Player award.

I feel pretty lucky teaching at their school. I never miss anything.

The kids with the principal (My Boss)..I told them that they better NEVER get sent to the principal's office!!
